Joe Hegarty

Joe Hegarty, owner at Glocca Morra Irish Imports and Irish Pickers USA, was born and raised in the small village of Drinagh, County Cork, Ireland. He traveled to the United States in the 1960’s to attend college, and has remained in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area ever since. After forty years of owning and operating two Irish bars near Marquette University and The Milwaukee Brewers Miller Park, Joe retired and turned his love for visiting friends and family in Ireland into the hobby of collecting Irish antiques - including authentic Irish road signs in miles that have been retired from service and replaced by similar signs in kilometers.

As Joe’s sign collection has now outgrown his living space, he’s making some of his signs available for purchase to others in the US who share his love of Ireland.
